1 in 4 Hong Kong people fear losing jobs to AI. Do you know which groups are most affected by this AI revolution?
Knowledge work sectors have a higher AI penetration, especially in professional services, information & communication, and financial services (PwC, 2024) While there was a +61% growth in women working in professional services from 2010 to 2020, which is 2x as much as what we see in men. (Hong Kong Women in Figures, 2021) These figures tell us that women are affected the most in this fast-changing world.
“SHE Sparks in Tech 2025” aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology. With a focus on innovation, inclusivity, and women empowerment, this program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

7 / Attendance Policy 出席政策
Participants are required to attend the entire programme, from start to finish. An allowance of up to 20% absence is permitted exclusively for emergencies or sick leave. All absences must be justified with a legitimate reason and supported by official documentation on letterhead. Participants who fail to meet the attendance requirement will not receive certification.

Programme Overview
In SHE SPARKS IN TECH 2025, you will join a community of like-minded women to explore AI and technology. You will gain key insights into the field through training sessions and business visits. Collaborate in teams to design a tech solution for an environmental challenge in the real world, guided by mentors from the tech industry. Present your innovative proposal to a panel of experts and the public to showcase the potential of women in tech.

What is the medium of instruction?
The programmes are taught in Chinese, while the printed materials such as notes in the workshop might adopt both English and Chinese.

Who is eligible for She Sparks in Tech 2025?
This program is designed for women aged 21 to 40, with a preference for applicants who are professionals with at least 3 years of work experience and entrepreneurs with at least 2 years of experience operating a business.

Will there be any interviews?
There will not be any interviews. Applicants will be shortlisted based on their responses to the registration form. The alignment, inclusion, and commitment of the applicants will be considered. On top of the above criteria, the Screening Committee will also consider the occupational diversity among participants.

What is the communication platform for the whole program?
Successful applicants will be invited to join a dedicated WhatsApp group for She Sparks in Tech 2025. This group serves as a platform for discussions, questions, and updates throughout the program.

How can I know if I enter the program successfully?
All applicants, whether successful or not, will be notified through email by 8 May 2025. If selected, payment must be completed within 3 days from the date on which the notification is issued, or your seat will be reallocated.

How can I pay?
All applicants must pay a HK$280 reservation fee. If selected, the reservation fee will be deducted from the total program fee, and the remaining balance is due upon notification.
